I get a lot of requests asking which brown people should use but it really comes down to what kind of effect you want to achieve with your shoes. This post will show you the different browns available and their tones.
After decades of using Parade Gloss, which diminished in quality, I found Saphir Pate De Luxe. This is an excellent product that surpassed expectations. Works well into the leather grain providing weather protection with a military level of shine.
I use a couple of layers of mirror gloss on top of the standard black Saphir. It adds a beautiful shine to areas of the shoe which do not crease (toes and heel). Application requires a hot cloth and quite a bit of hot water, but it’s well worth it. People regularly notice and comment on the shine of my boots. 👍
Great product! Better than the previous product I used (1909 colonil Creme de Luxe) in keeping my shell cordovan boots hydrated. It does only impart a low to medium shine, so I would recommend a separate polish product if you wanted a high shine. I'll be exploring other products from Saphir.
Used this on my RM's along with an heap of other Saphir product and it did a wonderful job including an ancient pair of site boots which I was on the verge of chucking out but restored to a satisfactory (not perfect) standard.
